In 2012, the show was awarded Best Special Entertainment Programme of the Year by CCTV and Most Innovative TV Programme of the Year by SARFT (The State Administration of Radio, Film & Television). SARFT senior official Mr Delong Jin called Dream Choirs ¡°the best entertainment TV programme CCTV has produced in recent years¡±. It has also received positive comments from online communities and the press.

Season 1
Premiered on CCTV-1 primetime in November 2011, Dream Choirs was the first international format deal CCTV acquired from Shine Group. The show has become a major success in China with the premier night generating more than 30 million viewers. In 2011, it was positioned to be CCTV¡¯s annual TV event of the year. The title sponsor was Oil of Olay, putting in a record-breaking ¡ê13 million for the first season. The first season consisted of 11 episodes of 60-90 minutes.

Season 2
Following the success of Season 1, Dream Choirs was recommissioned for a second season in November 2012 with a much bigger production and an increased budget. The second season consisted of 11 episodes of 60-90 minutes.

Season 3
Scheduled for summer 2014.

Each episode features five families with toddlers between the age of two to three-and-a-half years, who play to see how well they can guess their child¡¯s next move in order to win a special prize ¨C a guaranteed enrolment into one of the most sought-after kindergartens in China!

Zespa Media has licensed this format from Zodiak and is producing the Chinese version due to be aired in 2014.
